Okay, so I am trying to use the Truth Social post embeds. On localhost, the iframe didn’t translate to the proper height. I tried to see if I could access the scroll height of the element inside the iframe, but it doesn’t seem to grab the “a” tag. Tried with querySelector and getElementsByTagName methods, but kept getting a null response. Also tried adding an event listener to the iframe to fire when that content is loaded, and that didn’t seem to work either.

Also, in the developer tools window, a big ass warning about cookies and CORS showed up. Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe because I am on localhost it couldn’t fully load the scripts the embed needs to render correctly. So, I’m going to try here. Hopefully it will work even though I’m not no SSL.

I’ve given up on fixing the Truth embeds programmatically. I just need to remember to change the iframe width from 600 to 400. This seems to allow the entire content of the post to display, plus a bit extra; usually an extra 40px-50px of height.

Moving on to Rumble. They offer two choices:

1. Iframe
2. Javascript

The advantage of Javascript embeds seems to be that it creates a bunch of <div> elements on the document… elements that are very accessible by local style sheet and js/jquery scripts…
